EU passport allows the holder to travel with ease throughout the world. Travelling in the EU without limitations. Entry to many countries of the world is possible without visas or in a simplified manner.

The above simplifies the procedure of embarkation and disembarkation from the vessel and minimises travel costs, which leads to savings in the budget of the vessel.

Ideal position between the Baltic and Scandinavian neighbours.

Riga is located within a short flying distance from most major European airports and is connected to over 80 international destinations via more than 300 weekly flights.

The privilege of a good location makes it possible to arrange crew changes in a timely manner as well as to cover urgent requests in a short notice.

The human traits of Baltic citizens such as moderation, diligence, endurance,  thoroughness, intelligence. They are well-known for their desire to learn new things, education, respect to their traditions and traditions of different nationalities.

Seafarers from the Baltic States have an extensive experience in foreign companies and international crews. It permits us to complete the mixed crew.

History

The Latvian Shipping Company was founded in 1940. Management is located in Riga.

In 1959 - first tankers

In 1963 - 3 refrigerators

In 1965 - 2 gas carriers

In 1983 - 108 tankers and dry cargo ships, 8 gas carriers, 21 refrigerators, 4 container ships,

6 ro-ro ships

90% of the transported goods were oil and oil products, chemicals and liquefied gas. Vessels of the Latvian Shipping Company delivered cargo to 140 ports in fifty countries.

As a result of good communication and cooperation, we have partners in the Baltic States - Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, as well as in Ukraine, Georgia and Russia.

Testing for the mental health

Mental health , according to the definition of the World Health Organization, is the state of well-being in which a person can realise his own potential, cope with ordinary life stresses, work productively and fruitfully.

The success of  the team depends on the work of each individual member. 

The efficiency of individual is a reflection of good health (mental skills + physical state).

We can achieve this through additional testing for mental skills as a part of briefing / pre joining procedures.

The health of seafarers is one of our priorities.
